Barefoot shoes can be comfy, sustainable and stylish

Very comfortable shoes, rapid delivery, perfect!

Great shoes! Bohempia are one of the few brands that actually fit my extra wide feet, still looks pretty "normal" and are vegan!

First off, this would be 3.5 stars if the scoring system allowed decimals. - Positives : +Design 5/5 : The shoes looks amazing, really stylish and have none of the weirdness associated with barefoot shoes usually. +Feel 4/5 : The feel & size of the shoes are good. The sizing chart helps a lot, and although it was on the tighter side for me, it was just big enough. If you hesitate, take a bigger size! The outsole is really flexible, and the insole is comfortably cushioned, without excess. I have a word on the insole in the negative comments. -Negative : + Insole 3/5 : while confortable & cushioned, the insole somehow feels slippery under my foot? When walking, I feel my sock & foot are sliding inside the shoe, instead of stably pressing on the insole. + Durability 1/5 : So this is my big issue with the shoe ... )-: As you've read, the rest is quite great, but the insole got damaged instantly... The canvas is durable, it is only the outsole that broke down. After barely 1-2 months of wearing them, the outsole under the heel was ground up, and I could see the fabric underneath -this never happened to me on other barefoot shoes! This was an unpleasant surprise, although to be fair, it has remained fairly stable since, and I've had them almost 2 years. The bigger issue for me is that after only one season (I only wear them in spring & summer), the outsole, where the shoe creases in gait, got loose from the canvas & kept getting worse. I have pics but can't find a place to upload them. I tried to sew it up, but soon, it broke underneath the sewing, and just opened fully ... This, is by far the main issue and to be clear, if the outsole were sewn on, or otherwise better fixed to the canvas, this review would be a 4.5/5 overall... I loved the shoe so much, I'm close to buying a new pair, and this is the only thing preventing me from that at the moment. Dear bohempia staff : has this issue been explored yet ? Do you know if the outsole may be more durable and glued better? Are there plans to sell models with the outsole sewn on? Thank you, and hopefully, see you soon with a new pair.
